CLEANLINESS

CLEANLINESS

BY AKSHIT JAIN

The Earth, our home, is a place of beauty and wonder. It is where humanity and humanism thrive, and where we celebrate the diversity of different religions and customs. Amidst all the greatness that exists on this planet, there is one idea that is universally shared - cleanliness. As Mahatma Gandhi once said, "When there is both inner and outer cleanliness, it approaches godliness." Cleanliness has different meanings depending on the matter of discussion. For example, about religion, cleanliness is the state of being pure, without moral contamination. When it comes to the environment, it is the state of being free from dirt. Environmental cleanliness is what most people are familiar with because of the daily interaction with the environment and the impact it has on our health and the expectations of society. It goes without saying that cleanliness is next to godliness. The preaching of god exists where cleanliness exists. Cleanliness is indispensable for a healthy condition of body, mind, and soul. It is the burning issue of our times and also the need of the hour. Our first duty is to be clean. However, despite its importance, cleanliness is often overlooked in many parts of the world, including our own country. The penchant of the Indian people regarding their work has carved a bright future for them, but this future isn't very bright if we lag in one of the major social issues hygiene and cleanliness. The deplorable condition of cleanliness in our country is a worse situation than ever before and it could cause a dismal for the whole country. But there is hope. The issue of cleanliness has mustered the rapt attention of the people nowadays. We must instill the habit of cleanliness in every person, from childhood. Cleanliness is essential in maintaining a healthy lifestyle with a good standard of living. It plays a vital role in boosting a person's popularity. Let us all endeavor to dispose of waste properly by putting it in the dustbin for disposal, and prevent the spread of various infections and diseases in our homes and surroundings. Cleanliness is not just one person's responsibility or job; everybody should do their best individually and collectively to maintain cleanliness in the country, community, society, and the home. Embrace cleanliness, and let us work together to keep our planet clean and beautiful - just like the people and ideas that inhabit it.
